Job Description The Cashier directs the accounting functions day to day while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures as well as applicable state and federal banking laws and regulations. The cashier works closely with the President, Board of Directors and Senior management on cash flow management, general ledger activity, call report functions, and various income, expense and state of the financial institution reports and functions as required. Primary responsibilities include: Posting and adjusting general ledger transactions daily. Preparing and sending Call reports quarterly. Posting daily fed fund transactions and interest for correspondent banks. Completing key reports for the President, Board of Directors and Senior management. Ensuring month-end balance of security and investment transaction accounts. Directing the bank/general ledger reconciliation process Assisting external bank auditors with the collection and review of bank accounting records. Verify, initiate and receive money wire transfers for customers and internal functions.
