Job Description Digital Marketing Specialist JOB SUMMARY: Coordinate and/or create production of media, social media, newsletters, advertising along with other digital and printed materials and sales literature. Maintain brand integrity in all internal and external communications. Acts as an advocate for all aspects of assigned products including internal positioning messaging, external promotions, product research, event marketing, related forms and applications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (a summary of general responsibilities, but not limited to) Coordinate activities between the credit union and any marketing or printing agency. Maintain a constant check on in-progress materials to meet deadlines. Lead creative designer and copywriter of marketing materials (i.e.: create ads, newsletters, email blasts, web banners, member directed letters, staff communications, brochures and other marketing/sales materials). Maintain positive relationships with vendors and research and resolve any discrepancies or problems. Maintain and compile statistics for presentation in related marketing reports. Place orders and monitor quality of printed materials and deliveries. Develop, direct, and implement production and distribution of customer announcements of product promotions, product updates, or new products and services through newsletters and special mailings. Maintain and file records of all printed materials and master copies. Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and files are complete. Determine appropriate marketing materials and marketing collateral. Maintain an adequate supply of both and determine when to reorder. Work with all staff and Human Resources to coordinate branded communications/training used in off-site community events, SEG development programs, and the hiring and training of credit union staff. Manage large credit union events including the Annual Meeting, Member Appreciation Day, 4th of July parade and Heritage Day celebration, and any other event as assigned. Represents RBCU at events above; including occasional nights and weekends. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate or higher Degree in Marketing/Graphic Design or equivalent. Experience: 2 years or more of experience in Marketing. Credit Union experience preferred. Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be bondable and honest. Ability to learn new programs or systems as needed (including OSI). Ability to read and interpret forms, account statements, legal documents, and procedure manuals. Ability to concentrate, use reasoning, and analyze situations. Must be alert to employee and member needs, be resourceful, solve problems, and write well. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of printing, layout, and design of newsletters and other printed materials. Ability to find and coordinate resources for article composition and publishing. Proficiently operate a computer. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows operating system. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Bi-lingual skills helpful. The employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods; use their hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to read from a computer screen and enter data with the use of a keyboard. Working Conditions: Stress varies depending on work flow from high to low. Some travel between offices may be required.
