Job Description Marketing Intern - Financial Center First Credit Union Reports to: VP of Membership Growth Organizational Expectations: The primary purpose of this position is to support the Marketing team's effort in producing effective marketing communications that support the growth goals of the Credit Union. In return, Financial Center will provide a positive learning environment that will further the professional development skills of the intern through practical learning and coaching. Essential Duties: - Promote the Financial Center brand at Credit Union hosted and sponsored events. - Develop concepts for a Financial Center video series that appeals to potential Millennial-aged members. Write and help produce videos as approved. - Participate on the SEG development project team. - Assist with social media content development and deployment. - Write press releases for new hires and promotions. Knowledge and Skills Required: - Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings - Strong project management and multi-tasking skills - Professionally collaborate and communicate with employees and members with tact and diplomacy - Effective public speaking skills - Should be familiar with Credit Union bylaws, policies, procedures, and state and federal laws - Within 90 days, become well versed in Credit Union products and services Job Specific Competencies: Core competencies identify behaviors and skills all employees are expected to demonstrate to carry out the mission and goals of the Financial Center.
