Job Description: Cadence Capital Management Cadence Capital Management is a Boston-based investment adviser founded in 1988 and operates as an independent investment adviser with approximately $4.3 billion in institutional assets under management. Operations Analyst The candidate will be part of a team supporting all functions of the operations, trading and investment departments across both domestic and international investment strategies. The role will interface with various departments including compliance, client services and marketing, as well as internal and external auditors. This position will report to the Director of Operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Fully accountable for all operational processes including but not limited to: Daily cash and share reconciliation Trade entry and cash management Trade settlement and exception processing, including researching and resolving complex trade issues and problems Corporate actions processing Serving as the primary point of contact for creating, verifying and distributing daily reports to the investment team Support of monthly and quarterly client reporting Ownership of account onboarding / resignation processes Actively participate in maintaining effective internal controls Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the various investment systems Other forms of project work as need arises from time to time, including the requirement of leading various projects with confidence Factors for Success: 2-5 years of experience in an investment operations role with exposure to domestic, international and emerging markets equities, as well as foreign exchange Experience working with Advent Axys, Eze Castle, FactSet Research Systems and OMGEO or comparable investment management systems Experience working with Microsoft Excel, including uploading, downloading and manipulating spreadsheets and data, as well as Microsoft Access and Word An aptitude for numbers with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proactive and detail oriented Ability to work independently and seek guidance as necessary, as well as the flexibility to work in a team environment Ownership and responsibility for meeting conflicting deadlines and accomplishing goals Benefits: Join the Pacific Life team and watch your career grow!
